Soulfront and FLYN present the Soulfront Interview Series. Both Soulfront and FLYN work hard to bring people, ideas, and passion together to inspire creative people to make a difference in their businesses, the communities, and individual lives.

Soulfront literally means bringing the soul to the forefront. At Soulfront we are not interested in large organizations that take pleasure in being overly diplomatic, with people confirming themselves to existing expectations. We know when people rediscover their authentic selves, they realize their life’s work needs to be more.

Our hope is that Soulfront Interviews will offer entrepreneurs, community organizers and business leaders’ perspective personal and workplace transformation where people challenge conventional standards of success and put purpose, meaning, and passion at the forefront, making it their first priority. As my good friend Rebecca Rodskog from FLYN says, “Work shouldn’t suck!”

Today our conversation is with Bob Joseph the founder and President of Indigenous Corporate Training, providing training on Indigenous relations since 1994. Each year you assist thousands of individuals and organizations in building Indigenous relations. He is the author of “The 21 Things You May Not Know About the Indian Act” as well as the author of “Indigenous Relations: Insights, Tips, and Suggestions to Make Reconciliation a Reality” Bob is an initiated member of the Ha-mat-sa Society and have inherited a chief’s seat in the Gay-ax-ala (Thunderbird) clan, the first clan of the Gwawa’enuxw, one of the 18 tribes that make up the Kwakwaka'wakw. Bob's chief name is K’axwsumala’galis, which loosely translated, means "whale who emerges itself from the water and presents itself to the world." Today we explore The Indian Act, Indigenous Relations and making Reconciliation a Reality. Bob, thanks so much for taking to the time to speak with us today!
